It seems like school keeps starting earlier and earlier. The last few years the school district has begun their school year in the second week of August. This leaves a huge gap until we normally begin our preschool year the day after Labor Day. This year, by popular demand, I am going to begin the week after the school district's start date of August 13.
Our school year will begin on Tuesday, August 21!
In July I will mail out orientation letters (along with the calendar, roster and registration form) so that you can schedule a time for a visit with your preschooler on Thursday, August 16. That way we will be acquainted so that we can get right to work on the first day of school. In August our curriculum will be focused on "Wonderful Me" so that we can all get to know each other. The first day of school I read one of my favorite books,"The Kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn, about a little raccoon that is not sure about leaving his mom and going to school. In September we will begin our alphabet curriculum.
