January Songs & Fingerplays

K Song
(To Rockabye Baby)
 Kitten and Kettle,
kite and kazoo;
key, kitchen, kingdom,
and kangaroo;
king, kid, and ketchup,
koala bear...
How many K words
did you just hear?
The Three Little Kittens
The three little kittens
lost their mittens
And they began to cry,
"Oh mother dear, we sadly fear
our mittens we have lost!"
"You lost your mittens?
You naughty kittens!
Then you shall have no pie.
Meow, meow, meow, meow.
No, you shall have no pie."

The three little kittens
Found their mittens,
and they began to cry.
"Oh mother dear, see here, see here,
Our mittens we have found."
"You found your mittens?
You good little kittens.
Then you shall have some pie.
Purr, purr, purr, purr.
Yes you shall have some pie."
 The three little kittens
put on their mittens
and soon ate up the pie.
"Oh mother dear, we sadly fear
Our mittens we have soiled."
 "Soiled your mittens!
You naughty kittens!"
Then they began to sigh.
"Meow, meow, meow, meow."
They began to sigh.
 The three little kittens
washed their mittens
and hung them up to dry.
"Oh mother dear, see here! See here!
Our mittens we have washed!"
 "Washed your mittens!
What good little kittens!
But I smell a rat close by.
Hush, now. Meow, meow
I smell a rat close by."
